Description:
The Loop 574 Utility Relocation Project for the City of Waco consisted of relocating existing water transmission lines and related infrastructure to accommodate roadway improvements and future city development.
The work included the installation of 24”, 16”, 10”, 8”, and 6” ductile iron and PVC water mains, gate valves, air release valves, fire hydrants, and service connections. It also involved steel casing installation by dry bore, cutting and removal of existing water lines, line plugging and abandonment, and cathodic protection system installation. Additional activities included trench safety, surface restoration with asphalt and concrete, erosion control, and traffic management during construction.
