Description:
The Water Loss Reduction Distribution Improvements Project for the City of Marlin focused on modernizing and replacing deteriorated water distribution infrastructure to minimize water loss and improve system reliability.
The work included the installation of new PVC water mains ranging from 4” to 12” in diameter, gate valves, service reconnections, and fire hydrant assemblies. It also involved encased water and sewer line crossings, asphalt, concrete, and gravel surface restoration, curb reconstruction, and erosion control measures.
By upgrading old pipelines and service connections, the project significantly improved the efficiency and durability of Marlin’s potable water network, reducing leaks and maintenance requirements.
