Description:
The American Plaza to Exchange Parkway Water Transmission Project (Phase I) for the City of Waco consisted of the construction of a new large-diameter potable water transmission main and the abandonment of existing lines to expand the city’s water distribution capacity.
The work included the installation of PVC and ductile iron water mains ranging from 8” to 30”, gate valves, air release valves, fire hydrants, and steel encasements installed by dry bore. It also involved cutting, capping, and grouting abandoned water lines, removal and replacement of concrete and asphalt pavement, curbs and gutters, and erosion control and site restoration through hydromulch seeding and sodding.
