The Elley Lane Water Main Improvements Project for New Braunfels Utilities involved the installation of new 8-inch and 12-inch PVC water mains to strengthen and expand the city’s potable water distribution system.
The work included excavation and installation of PVC C900 SDR-14 pipes, ductile iron fittings, gate valves, fire hydrant assemblies, and a pressure reducing valve (PRV) vault. A major component included boring and jacking under Highway 46 using 20-inch steel encasement pipe with spacers and boots. Additional work covered erosion control fencing, rock berms, and site restoration through topsoil placement and revegetation.
