Description:

The Upper Pressure Plane Pipeline Project for the City of Fredericksburg consisted of the installation of a new 12-inch PVC water transmission line to improve water distribution and pressure within the city’s upper pressure zone.
The work included open-cut trench installation, jack and bore operations beneath roadways, steel casing placement, and the installation of gate valves, fire hydrants, and air release valves. Additional tasks involved pressure reducing valve and vault construction, ROW preparation, site restoration through hydromulch seeding, traffic control, and pavement repairs.
This project strengthened the city’s potable water system by increasing capacity, reliability, and operational efficiency across the service area.
