Description:
The Western Hills Water Improvements Project for the City of Temple consisted of the installation and replacement of underground water distribution infrastructure to enhance system reliability and service capacity in the Western Hills area.
The work included installation of new PVC and ductile iron water mains, gate valves, fire hydrants, and service connections, as well as pressure-reducing valves, air release assemblies, and steel encasements. Additional work involved trench excavation, bedding and backfill, pavement replacement, erosion control, and traffic management throughout the construction corridor.
This project strengthened the city’s potable water network, improving water pressure, service efficiency, and long-term infrastructure resilience.
